Paradise Cave is located in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh. It is famously known as the "Heaven Palace Underground". The cave boasts a diverse and magnificent system of stalactites and stalagmites, offering a mysterious beauty to its visitors. While exploring Thien Duong Cave, a normal trip will only take you through the first 1km of the cave. However, if you are an adventurous person who loves to explore wild nature, you may want to try the 7km tour that offers a type of adventure tour. Although challenging, it is an extremely worthy journey to explore the Paradise Cave.
Paradise Cave is located about 4 km as the crow flies from km 16 of Ho Chi Minh Highway, about 4 km as the crow flies, of which about 3 km is a flat dirt road between Phong Nha - Ke Bang jungle and 1 km is a mountain road with winding and cat-eared rocks. wonders. Located halfway up the mountain, Paradise Cave is surrounded by rich and pristine primeval forests. This cave is considered by the British Cave Association to be the longest dry cave in Asia.
When you visit Thien Duong Cave, you will embark on a 1.6 km journey through the forest by electric Buggy, followed by a walk up approximately 528 stone steps. During the walk up to the cave entrance, you will have the opportunity to see the tropical forest's trees and listen to the sounds of the mountains and forests.
When entering the cave, you will be able to explore a system of stalagmites and stalactites with various eye-catching shapes. The cave offers fresh and pleasant air with a temperature of approximately 22 degrees Celsius. The 7 km exploration tour begins at the end of the wooden staircase system in Paradise Cave, following a 1 km path. Before entering the second kilometer, you will need to be equipped with necessary tour equipment such as headlamps and helmets under the guidance of the tour guide.
The first 500 meters of the cave have a tubular shape, with the highest point reaching over 80 meters and the widest point spanning around 120 meters. Along the way, you may come across towering stalactites that shimmer like diamonds, as well as stalactite columns that appear pure white like marble.
Consider visiting the Bat Cave, where you can witness hundreds of bats hanging from the cave ceiling in the first 3.5 km. After walking for about 200m from the bat cave, you will come across the junction of two dry streams. You can enjoy the cool breeze blowing in from the stream. When you reach the 4 km mark, you can choose beautiful locations to take photos and capture the interesting moments of your trip.
During the journey, visitors can experience kayaking across a stream, which is the most interesting and attractive point of the journey. The cave ceiling is as flat as if it has been touched by human hands. As visitors approach the stream bank, the ceiling gets lower and they need to bend down to reach the boat dock. While passing through 100 meters on the stream, there are places where visitors have to lie down on the side of the boat to avoid touching the cave ceiling. After leaving the small stream, visitors will have the opportunity to test their courage as they have to overcome steep and dangerous paths along the dry stream bed. There are places where the path is so narrow that only one person can pass through at a time, and on the other side, the stalactites are cylindrical and close together like a maze.
