Phong Nha’s grottos were voted by Wanderlust magazine as one of the most incredible caves. Wanderlust magazine’s criteria is the special tectonic site and in which contains living organism.

Phong Nha’s magnificent grottos are filled with spectacular stalagmites and stalactites and are distinctive examples of a complex karst landform. This has resulted in underground rivers and the development of a maze of caves. It’s also a fossil-rich site and a location where new caves are still being discovered. Beside Phong Nha, the list voted of 5 incredible caves are Waitomo cave (New Zealand), Indian Caverns (United States), Dan-yr-Ogof Cave (Wales), Eisriesenwelt (Austria).
