Tam Toa Relic

Built in 1887, became the church of Tam Toa Parish, which originated from Dong Hai parish - one of the first parishes in Catholic history in Vietnam. The church was built in Portuguese architectural style. In 1940, the church was reconstructed to be more spacious and complete. During the Geneva Accords in 1954, most parishioners of Tam Toa Parish were forced to migrate to the South. Dong Hoi, where the church was located, was flattened by American bombs in 1964. Tam Toa Church was also repeatedly bombed and collapsed. Only the cracked bell tower remained as a testament to educate younger generations about the cruelty of war and remember the previous generation's merits.

Tam Toa Church

Today, the new Quang Binh Tam Toa Church has been built on Thong Nhat Street, Nam Ly Ward, Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province. The church has an area of about 6,000 square meters and is built in typical Gothic architecture. It has a two-story structure, with the lower floor serving as a living space for parishioners and the upper floor serving as a place of worship. The twin tower height of the church is 35m, and it is 16m wide and 43m long.
