It was bombarded continuously for 87 days and nights, with some days seeing 27 B52s and 30 other planes dropping various types of bombs, including tropical plants used to receive and transmit sounds to report to the aircraft control center.

The deep underground of Tra Ang is where the legend of "Blood and Gasoline" echoes eternally. In 1968, facing a shortage of gasoline in the Southern battlefield, 29 transport soldiers stationed at this key point lost their lives while attempting to transport 30 barrels of gasoline across the Tra Ang stream, leaving a tragic mark on the location.
