Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park has once again amazed explorers and nature lovers with the discovery of a spectacular new cave featuring an extraordinary system of limestone formations. Named Victory Cave, this newly discovered wonder boasts a vast underground chamber filled with towering stalagmites and magnificent cave formations, earning it the nickname "The Palace of Stalactites" hidden deep within the limestone mountains.

This exciting discovery further reinforces Phong Nha – Ke Bang's reputation as the "Kingdom of Caves" in Vietnam and one of the world's greatest cave destinations, where countless natural wonders are still waiting to be explored.

The Discovery of Victory Cave

In early June 2026, after receiving information from a local resident, the exploration team from Jungle Boss, in collaboration with the Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, conducted a survey in the forested area between Elephant Cave (Hang Voi) and Ma Da Lake.

After several days of trekking through dense jungle and exploring the rugged terrain, the team confirmed the existence of an entirely new cave. The cave was named Victory Cave after the local man who first discovered the entrance.

To access the cave, explorers had to descend approximately 20 meters by rope before entering the enormous underground chamber hidden beneath the forest.

A Million-Year-Old Palace of Stalactites

The moment the team reached the cave floor, they were greeted by one of the most impressive limestone formations ever documented in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

Victory Cave stretches for approximately 3 kilometers, with an average width of around 70 meters, while several chambers expand to more than 100 meters across.

Inside the cave, visitors can admire:

* Giant stalagmite columns rising up to 50 meters high.
* Elegant flowstone curtains cascading gracefully from the ceiling to the cave floor.
* Countless unique stalactites and stalagmites sculpted naturally over millions of years.
* Large numbers of perfectly round, glossy cave pearls - a rare geological formation found in only a limited number of caves worldwide.

According to cave experts, Victory Cave contains one of the most remarkable limestone formation systems ever recorded within the Phong Nha – Ke Bang karst landscape.

Scientific Value and Tourism Potential

Beyond its breathtaking beauty, Victory Cave offers exceptional scientific value for studying the geological history and ancient karst evolution of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

The Park Management Board has approved initial plans to research the possibility of opening Victory Cave as part of a future adventure tourism route connecting Ma Da Valley and Tra Ang Cave.

If developed, tourism activities will follow strict principles of sustainable adventure tourism, ensuring that the cave's pristine ecosystem and geological heritage remain carefully protected for future generations.

Phong Nha – Ke Bang Still Holds Many Secrets

Throughout 2026, survey teams have continued to make significant discoveries across Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, adding dozens of newly documented caves to the area's exploration map.

These discoveries demonstrate that large sections of the park's vast underground world remain unexplored.

Each new cave not only expands scientific understanding of the region's remarkable geology but also enhances the value of this UNESCO World Heritage Site while creating exciting opportunities for high-quality nature and adventure tourism in the years ahead.
