Vietjet is boosting its capacity by adding four wet-lease aircraft to accommodate the increased demand from travelers during the busy Lunar New Year period. These aircraft will be operational on both domestic and international routes starting on the night of January 8th.
The airline is prioritizing key routes connecting the South and North, catering to those returning home for the Spring Festival. In 2024, Vietjet plans to welcome ten new modern aircraft, increasing its total fleet to 115 and expanding its operations to 170 routes both within Vietnam and internationally. This expansion will provide passengers with more options for their travel, whether returning home for Tet or exploring new destinations in Australia, India, China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
To ensure a comfortable travel experience during this peak season, passengers are advised to stay informed about their flight schedules, check-in online, arrive at the airport on time, and adhere to carry-on and checked baggage size regulations. All airports will also see an increase in staff to assist passengers during this busy period.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, domestic flight bookings for the Lunar New Year are already reaching 90% to 100%. The addition of these new aircraft will enhance Vietjet's transport capacity, offering both locals and tourists greater convenience for their travel plans.
