The Mooc Spring area is situated amidst the mysterious limestone mountains. It is surrounded by rich vegetation and an immense natural space, which can bring you a feeling of peace and relaxation. The pristine scenery of Mooc Spring makes it an ideal place for tourists to take a break from their journey and rejuvenate themselves before they explore Quang Binh.

1. Where is Mooc Spring?

About 50km from Dong Hoi, located on the way to Dark Cave, Hava Valley, Paradise Cave, this is a place in Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. You have the option to travel to this destination either by car or by motorbike. You have the flexibility to plan your visit time and fully experience the beauty of the heritage region. The road is mostly made up of cement and asphalt, making driving a convenient option.

2. Why is it called Mooc Spring?

Mooc is a local word that means "to grow" from below. People saw water gushing out from underground to form Mooc Spring, which later became its name. Geologists believe that the stream we're seeing could be the source of a massive cave system within the cliff. The amount of water gushing out indicates that the cave system may extend even further into Laos.

3. What to do in Mooc Spring?

Your chance to experience nature has never been better. By visiting Mooc Spring, you will discover the diversity and richness of the ecosystem located in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. You can also admire the beauty of the stunning natural scenery, resembling a watercolor painting, with a jade green stream flowing through the serene space of the mountains and forests. You will only hear the sound of the stream flowing through the rocks, the chirping of birds, and the fresh breath of mother nature.

After purchasing your ticket, you will embark on a picturesque 1km walk along the wooden bridge system, providing an up-close view of the rugged limestone terrain. The sight of white water foam splashing around will make you feel as if you are lost in a fairyland.

If you visit in March, you can catch a glimpse of the vibrant yellow Vang Anh flowers, also known as Vo Uu flowers, blooming on the rocky slopes near Mooc Spring.
