Quang Binh participated in the Tourism-Cinema Promotion Program in the United States from September 21 to 26, 2024. The program was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the theme "Vietnam - New destination of world cinema." Quang Binh was one of the five localities selected to promote Vietnamese tourism in international markets.
During the program, an exhibition showcased Vietnam's culture, people, and cuisine, with a special focus on promoting Quang Binh tourism. Photographer Tran Tuan Viet's series of nearly 100 photos promoting Vietnam tourism, including five highlighting Quang Binh, made a great impression on visitors.
The People's Committee of Quang Binh province signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indochina Productions Company, a leading Hollywood film promotion unit for the Asian market. This agreement aimed to encourage film studios to explore and execute film projects in Quang Binh.
The program also featured a seminar introducing Vietnam's tourism and cinema potential, highlighting the beauty of Vietnam and films shot in the country. It also outlined Vietnam's mechanisms and policies to facilitate international filmmakers, along with specific support and incentives from localities and businesses to attract Hollywood filmmakers.
The Tourism-Cinema Promotion Program in the United States greatly enhanced Quang Binh's promotion in the US market and created opportunities to attract Hollywood filmmakers, aiming to make significant strides in tourism promotion.
